In the past 5 years, we'd two games that we're still playing today:

1) Starcraft
2) Counter-strike

I think Quake 3 has been pushed to just cult status instead of gaming phemenenon. I also amazes me that the game everyone is crazy about is a free modification of a game by a 24 year-old Canadian (who is of Vietnamese descent??). And the guy didn't find a way to cash in on it. Otherwise, the guy would be a millionaire by now.

Secondly, gaming nowadays has changed a lot! Back in 1996, people change games very quickly (Quake, then RA). Now everyone sticks to the same ol' bloody boring game. CS is fun, but now it's been reduced to de_dust and cs_tank. Check out the gaming servers and see what map they're playing on. And cheaters ruin the game.

We all enjoy (PC) gaming, back in the '90s, when there's Microfest at Dewan Sivik PJ, Intel would hold a gaming competition where the winner gets a PC (assembled) for him. Remember Quake 2? I also remember Intel having Half-Life competition at Sunway Pyramid, with the Flyguy commentating. Man, I wished I could play. But now??? CS?? I must have a gang to play with man?! And I suck at Starcraft. NO Unreal Tournament?
