Loddars Tourney2 Game Analysed

Loddars Tourney2 Game Analysed ? 1 comment

Introduction

Here is a quite a good match within itself between loddar and ocr-sting, in this match the lead changes around a few times. If you want to see the demo and see how I draw these conclusions you can see it here

Tactical

Jump pad usage - using during the enemy is above can be very dangerous as when using you are a setting duck of the lightening gun and can sap away your health in no time.

Map beginning - needs go for armor straight away, if you cannot stay alive (with armor) then what is the point of a weapon.

Charging through small spaces - at times he would charge throw the small hallways leading from each side into the lightening gun room this small space when charging a enemy in this area can be deadly as it was for him a few times as alot easier to hit especially with the rocket launcher, needs to choose attacks better.

Over Aggressive play At times - caused mistakes, got to choose attacks bet (around the 5 minute mark number of deaths and sucides to aggressive play he had alot of time be patient and wait for the right time to attack, keeping calm under pressure takes experience)

Weapon selection at close range - Few times used wrong weapon at close range.... left open to attacks by rockets hits from rockets easily knock your aim off and knock alot of health and armor out of you.(LG)

Technique

Aim steadiness - Needs to steady aim especially the rocket launcher in close range as losing critical reaction time by shaking around and idea maybe to lower sensitivity or maybe try a higher fov is already low to help keep of the enemy with higher field of view). A good way to get better with this at your current settings is to try some intense combat in say a largely full free for all server just to get used to more of the close fights.

Conclusion

Through out this demo the player shows some good tactical and timing skills with flashes of good aim. But his lack of experience which showed at times with not thinking and being to aggressive plus not using general player smarts and through these combined lead to his defeat, but with abit more patience, experience, and practise I am sure he could easily take down his opponent. To end I will leave you with one saying I follow religiously "If you attack do you have enough armor/health to also escape if need be?" What does this mean? Well usually early on in the fight you can tell it is going wrong so not wanting to give up frags you would want to have enough escape and at times this player did not really think and with one hit from the enemy he was doomed.....
